My studio is dedicated to boudoir and fine-art portraiture and has all of the right furniture, props and accessories to create amazing images every time. Additionally, I have the skill level necessary to take your photo session out of the studio, to beautiful outdoor locations where you can enjoy an awesome nature-inspired boudoir photoshoot.

Not at all. How little or how much you show in your portraits is purely based on your comfort level. Nudity will never be expected, implied, or suggested during your boudoir session. If you express interest in shooting fine-art nude images, I will be more than happy to give you instructions, advice, and guidance on how to best pose for nude portraiture. However, this is only after YOU ask for these shots, never before that.

Yes, it is completely normal! Nearly ALL of my clients come to their shoot nervous. Instead of making you feel like "the client", we would rather make you feel like you are part of "the team". I will help you every step of the way. I have photographed countless boudoir sessions over the years and everyone I've worked with has ended their session feeling undoubtedly more comfortable and confident. Seeing that transformation is one of my favorite parts of the job! You will be fully supported and empowered, so just relax, enjoy your experience, and leave everything to the Rock Carter Boudoir team.

Sorry, I don’t provide a full wardrobe, as lingerie is a very personal choice and should hug your body in exactly the right way. I always recommend bringing outfits that reflect your taste, flatter your unique body shape, and make you feel confident and sexy. My goal is to ensure that your boudoir session feels completely personalized, and your outfit choices play a big role in that.

That said, I do have a wide variety of boudoir props, accessories, and select “add-on” lingerie pieces available for you to use to complement your looks and add a little extra flair.

Yes, we do and yes you can choose your makeup look! A very talented makeup artists will work with you to create the perfect look for your shoot so you can rest assured that you will be flawless. This day is all about you and we want you to be happy with the way you look so, before she begins your make over, she will consult with you. Then you may request your preferred makeup style choice. Please understand that your makeup choice will need to be achievable within the time constraints of your boudoir session.

There is no set rule but I strongly recommend having your makeup done by one of my talented makeup artists because makeup for professional photos (especially boudoir) is very different than makeup you use for everyday life. Furthermore, it is very much a part of your overall experience, a way to for you to relax and feel pampered before your shoot begins.

Regardless of your choice, I am happy to book your session. Please note: Should you decide to pass on the in-house beautician, your make-up would need to be done prior to you arriving and there are no price reductions offered for choosing this option.

We only provide styling touch ups. I recommend that you have your hair done prior to your boudoir session but I can, for an extra fee, arrange for a professional hair stylist to be present either before the shoot or for the duration of your shoot.

The short answer... Any time works! My studio has a cozy bedroom vibe with a custom-built bedroom window that allows me to create any type of natural looking window light at any time! That's right, you can have beautiful daylight, moonlight, or sunset in your photos no matter what time of day that you shoot! You won't have to wait for a gorgeous sunny day to get beautiful bedroom window light for your portraits, and you don't have to wait until evening time to get those "moody" sunset or moonlit bedroom shots. Awesome right?

You have the option to shoot your boudoir session at my studio or "on-location" where we will shoot in an agreed upon place outside of the studio. This could be in a beautiful hotel room, your home, or even in a secluded natural environment outdoors such as a forest, meadow, river, waterfall, or a stream.

I strongly urge you to arrive NO EARLIER than 15mins before your session time. This is to allow us proper time to clean/sanitize the studio and also to also avoid possible overlap with another client, since we do not have more than one client in the studio at the same time. Please note: Excessively late arrivals may result in cancellation.

YES! I encourage clients to bring a chaperone for comfort and for moral support. It isn't mandatory but if you do, it is totally fine. Female chaperones are preferred. Male chaperones allowed but they must be cleared with our staff well in advance of the shoot so that we can properly adjust our scheduling to avoid any possible overlap with incoming female clients. If you choose to bring someone with you, please note that they must not interrupt or distract from your session. No minors are allowed. This is a firm policy.

Bra's and Underwear, Corsets, Nightgowns, knee/thigh high stockings, bodysuits, and high heels are excellent choices for boudoir. You can also consider normal everyday clothing like jeans, button down shirts, crop tops for your session as well. There are infinite clothing combinations that look great in boudoir images. Ultimately, you will want to explore options using your own creativity.

Studio sessions are private. It is important that you feel relaxed, so there is never an audience and I have an all-female staff. Typically, it's just you and me (your photographer) along with the makeup artist. In some cases, I may also have a female photography assistant present if your shoot requires one. Location sessions are usually shot in secluded locations so that we can avoid an audience. Depending on location, I may need to bring one or two assistants to the shoot with me along with the makeup artist.

Absolutely! I will give you pro-coaching every step of the way with posing, facial expressions, hand-arm placement, head positioning and much more. I have worked with hundreds of women of varying shapes and sizes and I am great at finding the best, most flattering poses to fit your body style. Most of the women that are featured on this website had no idea how to pose and still took amazing images. You can too! I will show you.

There is never a limit on the number of shots that I will take or poses you can do during your session. Outfit changes are limited to what is specified in your boudoir package. Please visit my Investment page to choose the boudoir session package that is right for you.

Absolutely. If you book a "Premium" or "Posh" Boudoir Package, you are welcome to include 1 "guest star" in your images for an additional fee of $99.00 and your guest will have her time in the chair with our professional makeup artist as well! Please note: If you choose this option, you will be the only person who can take solo shots during the session time. Your guest will not be able to take shots by herself during the session.

I will take plenty of images during your photoshoot. The total number depends on the amount of time that is included in your selected package. After your shoot is done, we will schedule a reveal/ordering session where you can view, select, and purchase as many images as you like.

Photoshoot duration depends on the particular package that you choose. Sessions last from 2 to 5 hours including the time for professional makeup. Please visit my Investment Page to see which package has the best amount of time for you.

All images shot are archived for a period of no less than 5 years so if, at a later date you require additional images/products, we can provide you with what you need.

I will spontaneously show you images of yourself while shooting so that you can see just how beautiful they are turning out.

Your actual photo reveal appointment will be approximately 1-2 weeks after your photo session, and your finished products (depending on what you order) will arrive approximately to 2-5 weeks after you complete the ordering process. If you have a time table for your finished work, I would strongly advise you to book your session 8 weeks in advance of when you need your products.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. We take privacy seriously and all of clients' images are kept strictly confidential. The images featured in my portfolio are of clients who were so proud of how amazing they looked, they granted us consent to post their images by signing a model release agreement. Your images are private by default so you can rest assured that none of your photographs will never be publicized without your consent.

We are dedicated to providing you with the best looking photos possible. This is why we use the most advanced retouching tools and techniques to optimize your images, correcting those minor flaws and skin imperfections. However, we only make minor adjustments to your images and never make any changes to that would alter your appearance in any major way. The editing results are meant to be natural looking and refined so that even your closest friends will likely just say "That is a very nice picture of you!".

We get booked up quite quickly, especially during peak periods, so I usually advise booking at least 2-6 weeks in advance. For last minute emergency situations, booking a shoot as little as 72 hours in advance is possible but unlikely. If I have a date available and can secure a makeup artist on short notice, you can get in (as long as your full session fee is paid to hold that booking time at least 48 hours in advance of the shoot date).

My clients usually invest between $900 to $2000 on their boudoir experience and products. Total investment cost depends directly on the total number of images, type and size of products, number of prints, etc. All sessions and product orders are customized to meet your specific needs. At least 48 hours is required to reschedule your appointment. Clients are allowed to reschedule only once before additional fees may apply. Cancellations less than 24 hours or “no shows” will result in an automatic forfeiture of the booking deposit.

Because all images are viewed and selected by the client prior to purchase and products are custom designed for each individual, Rock Carter Photography has a strict NO REFUND/RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY for products. Once a transaction has been processed, it is considered non-refundable.

We accept all major credit cards, Paypal, Cashapp, and Venmo. Your session fee balance can also be paid in cash upon arrival on the day of your photo shoot. We do not accept checks or money orders.
